ANDROMEDA IS BIG - BIG - BIG - A HUGE UNDERSTRUCTURE BELOW THE OPEN WHORLING TOPFACE

JUST HOW MUCH MASS IS THERE IN THE GREATER ANDROMEDA

Little M110 (at lower left) usually shown far out there on its own in blackspace, dwarfed, is almost swallowed by huge understructures typically never shown in Andromeda photos

Two corollary pages explore a seeming rearwall near the beginning of galaxy creations, as seen through the Andromeda halo, plus, Andromeda's big mass from an earlier preview interpretation

The big mass of Andromeda is revealed
Bigmass.htm

Dull grey dots fill a rearwall in deep space with organized chaos Rearwall.htm, seen by the Hubble Acs camera throught the Andromeda halo

Is the huge understructure the consequence of a sideswipe collision with the Triangulum galaxy, perhaps more than one earlier collision are residues below the Andromeda core deck

More Andromeda core
More Andromeda wide expanse

For anything more you might want, in the way of cross reference(s), for instance for rooster tails in galaxies, use the Goggle site search for Cosmicastronomy.com this site search is excellent. The Goggle search panel is at the end of this page

Gendler andromeda original

Other Andromeda images seem to have shown M110 coming out from below the skirt of Andromeda on a path passing just to the right of the core. This Gendler image seems to show M110 rocketing around the right flank and hurtling forward at a distinct westward angle.

Close inspection does not support the rocket engine ride around the right flank for M110, which seems to have come out from under the skirt exiting roughly just to right of the main core, and is clipping through flanged plates which were previously there jutting forth into the foreground from under the right skirt of Andromeda.

See A Bridge Near Far for M110 in motion making a seeming underpass, exiting straight on out toward us.

Questions are always being asked if Andromeda is sickle shaped. A daring astronomer proposed not so long ago that Andromeda may be flunked, kinking up on one side, bending down on the other. The apparent sickle cell shape that some have noticed, is due to Andromeda's rooster tail symmetry. Bi-lateral symmetry (rooster tail) is also paramount in Andromeda's core, as well as camming due to differential rotations at different speeds in different tilt angles, at the core

Andromeda is a wide open circular maelstrom seen on edge, the expanse across front to rear is on par with its major cross section width left to right. Andromeda is huge, boys and girls, and old fogies too. Memorize the word huge!

Bigmass mystery is intensified by the diamond shaped square patch hanging out over the lower right flank, the square's finite edges are rather brightly outlined in dots, which saturate the inside of the square, and are none existent outside the edges of the square. The square is seen only in the next images, other views shown in this page do not support a mysterious square at all.

Andromeda has a weird symmetry, in that the rearside rim is oily as if modeling slipstreaming cloud curls in the atmosphere of Jupiter, whereas the front leading edge facing us is very precise, the rim in thin flat layers staggered nearly together, expecially in the mid part of the disk in front of the core bole.
